EN 13120 is the European product standard for internal blinds, and its child safety requirements exist for the most serious of reasons: to protect young children from cord hazards. It governs cord lengths, breakaway behaviour and safety devices on every operating system.
Paloma engineered safety into the product rather than bolting it on. Our redesigned pulley mechanism houses a child safety device we call the release wheel — meaning no chain break devices or P-clips are needed on the chain — and our cord break away (CBA) toggles release under load. Our Connect Roman blind system is tested and certified under EN 13120.
